Auckland House School Boys Shine at Zonal Basketball Tournament, Clinch Gold in U-17 and U-19 Categories

Shimla : (HD News); Auckland House School Boys delivered a stellar performance at the CISCE Himachal Pradesh Zonal Basketball Tournament held at Bishop Cotton School, Shimla, on July 12 and 13. The team secured gold medals in both the Under-17 and Under-19 categories, while finishing runners-up in the Under-14 category.

The tournament saw participation from four prominent schools — Bishop Cotton School (Shimla), Auckland House School Boys (Shimla), Sacred Heart Sr. Sec. School (Dharamshala), and Almighty Public School (Hamirpur).

🔸 In the U-17 final, Auckland Boys defeated Bishop Cotton School with a score of 53–36. Jais Larje played a key role in the team’s victory with his remarkable performance.

🔸 In the U-19 final, Auckland House School dominated BCS with a convincing 73–32 win. Players Sushant, Ishan Rana, Samarth Thakur, Chaitanya Joshi, and Arhan stood out with their exceptional coordination, passing, and defensive strategy, leaving a strong impression on the audience.

🔸 In the U-14 category, Auckland Boys defeated Almighty Public School, Hamirpur in the semi-final but lost to BCS in the final, securing the runner-up position.

This outstanding achievement has placed Auckland House School Boys prominently on the state’s sporting map and serves as an inspiration for aspiring young athletes.
