Shimla, August 25 (HD News):The Meteorological Department has issued a three-day heavy rainfall alert for Himachal Pradesh. According to the latest forecast, yellow weather warnings have been issued specifically for Mandi and Shimla districts, where moderate to heavy downpours are expected in several areas.
The state has so far recorded 14% above-normal rainfall this monsoon, intensifying the risk of landslides, flash floods, and road blockages. Authorities have urged residents and tourists to remain cautious, avoid unnecessary travel, and stay updated with weather advisories.
Rescue teams and disaster management departments have been kept on alert to respond promptly to any emergency situation. Local administration has also advised people living near rivers and streams to stay away from vulnerable areas.
