Auckland House School for Boys, Shimla, turned its Annual Exhibition “World Within Words” into a captivating journey through literature and imagination. From timeless tales and mythological enactments to creative dioramas and interactive challenges, the event brought stories to life, inspiring students and visitors alike.

Shimla: (HD News); Auckland House School for Boys hosted its Annual Exhibition “World Within Words”, transforming it into a spectacular celebration of literature, creativity, and imagination. Unlike a routine school exhibition, the event transported visitors into a magical world where stories, characters, and ideas came alive.

Students mesmerized audiences with brilliant enactments of timeless tales like The Thirsty Crow, Humpty Dumpty, King Midas’ Golden Touch, Alice in Wonderland, and Gulliver’s Travels. A lively puppet show on Tenalirama showcased wit and wisdom, while adaptations from Malgudi Days highlighted how literature can be brought closer to the masses through screen versions. Creative comic strips inspired by Harry Potter, touching acts from The Diary of a Young Girl and Letters from War, and mythological characters like Medusa brought in themes of humanity, existentialism, and the futility of conflict. A scene from Ramayana’s Ashok Vatika was also staged, connecting students with cultural and spiritual roots.

The dioramas on display stood out for their detailing and imagination, serving as visual gateways into different literary universes. These exhibits brilliantly demonstrated how books fuel boundless imagination.

To make the experience even more engaging, interactive segments such as the Puzzle Corner, Story Sequence Challenge, and Author-Work Match added fun while sharpening literary knowledge.

Chief Guest Shri S.N. Joshi praised the exhibition, calling it “a journey into a wonderland of imagination and not just a regular display.”

Adding to the collaborative spirit, students from other schools in Shimla, including Loreto Convent, Laureate Public School, and St. Bede’s College, also visited the exhibition. Their participation turned the event into a meaningful exchange of creativity, ideas, and literary appreciation among young learners.
