Students of Ivy International School created history by going to ISRO

Shimla: (HD NEWS); Two Shimla girls clear selection test conducted by Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) under their Young Scientist Program- 2024, bringing laurels to entire Himachal Pradesh.

While more than 2 Lakh students applied for this program in the country, only top 350 students have been selected to attend the Two Week program at ISRO centres in the country.

Antara Thakur and Suhana Sharma are Grade-IX students of Ivy International School, Shimla. Both students had also won awards in Children Science Congress conducted last year along with other students of the school.

Stationed at ISRO centres for around 2 weeks, the students will get a unique opportunity to interact with renowned scientists and engineers.

This program is Free of Cost fornthe students, which means the entire expenses of the program, including the travel, boarding, lodging, course material etc will be borne by ISRO.

The school principal Ms Chandresh Chauhan congratulated students and their parents on this remarkable achievement and wished them all the best for their future endeavors in the field of science.

This programme is aimed to encourage more students to pursue research/career in the field of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
